Getting port 51011 blocked.

When installing CF MX 7 I got the following error message: "However, the web server connectors did not install successfully. One possible reason is that port 51011 is blocked." How do I correct this error. It won't let me setup up web server connectors.

I had CF6.1 installed and running fine on my local machine. Then I was "sold" on the idea of MX7 on my production server, so I decided to download the Developer Version of MX7 for my local machine. Now nothing works on the local machine. I confirmed that there IS NO firewall on my system. After the installation I receive the same message as sparky. WTF? I tried reading the installation guide, but to be honest, i got a headache looking at it. I have a Windows XP machine running the basic IIS. Nothing special. Can anyone help me (or sparky - since he started this)? Since I know for sure that there is no firewall, how do I configure the web server connectors?

Thanks Ken, I've tried adding the port 51011 to the windows and my McAfee allowed list but it does'nt seem to work. Do you know how to unblock a port?

Sounds like you have a firewall blocking port 51011 which CF needs to run.

Try unblocking the port in your firewall program.
