Hi All,

Pardon me for this question, but in CF Admin, how do we know that update 9.0.1 has been installed? I looked at the system information and saw information like Version. After installation, I still see 9,0,0. Isn't it suppose to be 9,0,1 when update is successful? Or should I look at another information? Thanks.

hmm, I don't think that Version contains the update information, instead there should be an "Update Level" information in the system information overview. On my dev machine it says "/D:/ColdFusion9/lib/updates/chf9000001.jar", which means Update 1 for Coldfusion 9 is applied.

I don't think that "chf9000001.jar" is for update 9.0.1. It was a hotfix, right? It's just weird that CF engineers suddenly changed their mind and decided not to put version number in the Version field, except if they have a very good reason for this. Does someone know how to contact Adobe coldfusion support? I hope the support comes with the license and no fees required 'coz the software itself is already expensive. :-)

ok, seems to be very confusing. The hotfix is called hf900-00001.jar (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/841/cpsid_84102.html). And as far as I remeber i did not installed the hotfix, (I think) I just installed the update with the result described in my previous post. The version information still says "9,0,0,251028".

sorry, I was totally wrong. I downloaded and installed the update (again?!) and now the system information says "Version 9,0,1,274733" (and the "Update Level" is gone). It seems that I installed the hotfix instead the update before. Sorry to give you the wrong information.

Yes, it should say 9,0,1 or something to that effect, so if it does not, then you have not succeeded in the update. Make sure you're really looking at the URL for the admin of the server you think you updated. That can be especially challenging for some when running multiserver mode (multiple instances), where each instance has its own admin.

Thanks for the info. Hmmm, then it may have not been updated correctly. Do you have any idea, or any documents you know that shows how to upgrade to 9.0.1 for Coldfusion that  was deployed using

ear/war file in a Unix server? I couldn't see it in the document provided by Adobe (http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/coldfusion/901/cf901inst all.pdf).
