Enable automatic updates button missing from preferences

Hello!

I am running version 6.8.0.821. And in the Preferences > Apps menu, there is no longer an "enable automatic updates" button. I did not find any information about this in the release notes. 

I do not want to enable automatic updates anyway, which makes it good that this button no longer exists, but i am curious if there is any information about it?
