I've been working with Photoshop for 2 years. Recently, I had to reformat my computer, so I had to reinstall the program. Before proceeding, as a precaution, or perhaps ironically, I decided to check the program using the VirusTotal tool, which detected a potential issue. Now I'm unsure if it's a false positive or not. Does anyone have any information on this W32.AIDetectMalware

yes, it's a false positive.

1 test out of ~30 tests isn't really worrisome.  each test has a false positive rate so if you do enough tests with that should generate a negative, you will get a positive.

But even so, a false warning doesn't inspire enough confidence for you to want to install the program, even if it's from Adobe's official source. This raises some suspicion.
