Avoiding my files to be public?

Hi. I am using an account from work which I am also allowed to use for my personal use. Can my files be prevented from appearing in the creative cloud system? I noticed sometimes I need to scan a confidential document, and you can still see it on a different computer logged on the same account. 

I want to work on my laptop logged into the account, but all files stay within my control and privacy. 

Is that possible?

I am using Photoshop, AI, Acrobat, etc- 

Does this relate to Adobe Scan? It is not associated with Acrobat in particular, with CC in general.

you don't need to sync any files. suspend file sync in the adobe desktop app.  whenever it updates, check it to see if you need to suspend sync, again.
