Creative cloud crashes Firefox browsers

Hi,

I am finding Creative Cloud is doing a really strange thing when I start an application. If my Firefox browser is open and I start Photoshop or Indesign for example, it crashes Firefox. It seems to happen when Creative Cloud is activating the font library.

Is anyone else having this problem? If so any fixes?

I am using an iMac with version 10.15.7, Photoshop 22.5.1, Indesign 16.4 and Firefox 93.0.

Hello all,

I think the problem is solved. Yesterday I spent some time with an Adobe support employee that repaired some permissions. Also, I deactivated some fonts in the Creative Cloud that were generating conflicts with my OS fonts. Hope this can help others.

Thanks for the help,

Sergi

Hi all,

Could you all confirm if the web browser Firefox has been updated to the latest version?

Also, is it happening with any specific Adobe app?

Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Shivangi

Hello,

suddenly my workaround of logging out and logging back in doesn't work. Creative Cloud keeps making Firefox browser and Mail app unresponsive. The mail app freezes when I try to write or respond an email. I have to prevent Creative Cloud from opening as a login item. Here's a video of the problem. The only thing is after opening Creative Cloud, the screen recording didn't record the rainbow wheel but it depicts an arrow cursor. I have to force quit both apps and log out again. It's really frustrating. I have all apps and OS updated to the last version.

I have this problem too. I have a Mac Studio M2 with Sonoma. If I have Creative Cloud turned on, Firefox freezes and I have to force quit, turn Creative Cloud off and reopen it. It's driving me nuts. I also have to turn it off as a Login item for the same reason. Never had an issue like this before.

I am experiencing the same problem. I've reinstalled Firefox several times and the only solution I found was to inactivate Adobe Cloud when I have Firefox open. 😕😕

I have this problem, too. I've also tried to uninstall/reinstall Firefox, but that action did not solve the problem. Windows10 user here, and this issue seems to be consistent with all Adobe CC 2021 products.

i haven't seen anyone else post about that problem so it's not a widespread problem.

i suggest uninstalling firefox, restarting your computer and then reinstalling it.

if that fails, you should consider updating your os.
