Creative Cloud is garbage still

For years the developers don't listen to criticism about the app or worse, they do but choose to leave it.

This is the only Windows application that consumes 100% of the the internet bandwidth and 100% of the disk. The computer I am using has an NVMe and becomes useless when this application is downloading and installing Adobe software.

Fix it or add a way for us to throttle.

reset the cc desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R


if that fails, repair per https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-install-stuck.html


if that fails and you have windows, open your control panel > add/remove programs > cc desktop app > repair

if that fails, uninstall using the correct uninstaller from https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-mes... and then reinstall using*


if that fails, do a clean cc install carefully following each applicable step:

uninstall every cc app including preferences per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, again using the correct uninstaller per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-mes...

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

check for, and if available, update your os

if windows is your os, repair all ms visual c++ versions that can be repaired (use google if you don't know how to do this)

if windows is your os update your ms visual c++, if it can be updated (use google if you don't know how to do this)

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app using the "alternative download links" at the bottom of the page at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials>

if that fails, you probably have a corrupt user account. google your os and how to create a new one.

kglad, that solution is why people don't like Creative Cloud. Adobe's solution is for the customer to perform 12-15 steps to get something to work that costs $780 a year. And it's always on the customer, never ever is Adobe at fault. Never. Never. Never.

How many of you wanted to do something in Photoshop or some other Adobe app and spent 10-60 minutes waiting on Creative Cloud or waiting on something that failed or using that time to get the software to just work? And after all that, were you so frustrated that it killed all motivation and creativity?

Adobe, this is what your money-grubbing is doing. You've forced down our throats a front-end that your customer base resoundingly hates. Creative Cloud is a terrible program that serves no practical purpose other than to protect you from piracy, which is adversarial. Then you double down by raising the price because you went all in for generative AI. You have no shame. Most creatives want to create, so why not let those who are not particularly creative buy your AI slop as a plan and let the rest of us decide if we even want it.
