Creative Cloud not updating

New Here ,
Sep 10, 2023 Sep 10, 2023

Creative Cloud desktop on my PC tells me there is an update, and also one for Camera Raw. When I select "Update", nothing happens, and then I get a message saying:

"Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\ElevationManager\Adobe Installer.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

Does anyone know what is causing this?

Thanks

Can you try running the repair utility to see if it resolves it? Instructions on how to download are here: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

reset the cc desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

Thanks.

I've done a reset, and tried updating again, but the same error message keeps coming up.

OK, I followed the uninstall link, and selected the "repair" option. This seems to have done the trick, I have been able to update Creative Cloud, Camera Raw and Photoshop.

Many thanks for your help.

Peter
