Creative Cloud Syncing resets itself everytime from "Paused" to "Syncing" (running)

Hi all,

I used to be able to set syncing to "Paused" and it stayed that way. 

There used to be another gear symbol to set this ... gone.

When I chose "Paused" it resets itself after every startup of CC ro ON. (not paused)

Is there a way of permenently disable syncing for good"

 

All apps and CC are updated. (June 2024)

Win11 Pro, 64 bit, Lates version.

 

I don't want ANY cloud storage and I'm afraid it is forced on me / running without my knowledge.

However, going to "Files" in CC shows no synced items.

 

And what about the anouncement of syncing being discontinued this year?

Hello kglad,

your answer is unclear. 

Why does syncing restart everytime? 

Where can I stop it? Is it necessary, as you mentiond "kaput"...? 

What do you mean by kaput ... discontinued / not to worry ... or not working properly, but sometimes ...?

 

I also noticed that my work machine (all identical) has two options in the cloud icon at the top ... of pausing syncing ... Libraries and CC Files, with the latter having a gear icon to preferences (and always stays off) ... my home machine has only one and resets itself to syncing??!! Machine and All identical though ... CC version 6.2.0.554 / Photoshop 25.9.0.573

Thenks for the quick response.

At home (where the problem is) I have a photography subscription.

At work (no problem, always paused) we have the full/all app subscription

Home is individual, at work is business / enterprise, I guess (educational)

educational can be either enterprise (if your plan is administered by your school), or individual (if administered by you).

Hi kglad,

- the subscription in question/with constantly trying t sync is individual

- so the second article/link would apply

- work subscription is a federally funded organisation supporting education, not school itself ... but Adobe offers reduced prices.

- but again - the problem in the initial post refers to the individual subscription. The work subscription acts only as a reference to show a differnce in CC even with same version.

- therefore I posted under my private account and don't have access to the work account

ok.  so, your syncing is already disabled. ie, your cc desktop app setting is irrelevant.

Follow up ...

as of late it stays Paused! (cloud icon top right WITH little pause bars).

It will remain a mystery what happened .. but all good now regarding saying "Paused", besides that 

it, as kglad says, never synced anything anyways.
