How to install Acrobat Pro with Creative Cloud

I have Creative Cloud All Apps with 100MB

I can only install "Acrobat." I cannot install "Acrobat Pro." If I try to do a free trial on Acrobat Pro, it tells me that the purchase is unsupported because I already have access to Acrobat Pro...  but I never see a place to install Acrobat Pro or Acrobat DC...  only Acrobat.

I uninstalled and reinstalled. I've logged in and out. I ran some kind of registry repair tool (or something like that). This problem is taking time away from 'important work delivery,' and I'm left feeling very frustrated.

I need to flatten a document for printing, and I'm led to believe that Acrobat Pro has some flattening capability that Acrobat does not - it seems that text is still editable after I print to PDF from Acrobat.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @BecauseUmatter

I hope you are doing well, and thank you for reaching out.

If you wish to install Acrobat, you can use the direct link to download the setup file: https://adobe.ly/4mkNicf

Please note: The setup/Acrobat from the Creative Cloud desktop app is also Acrobat Pro. To learn more, see this article: https://adobe.ly/4muRSVv

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Adobe has always been very confusing with how they name things, but you don't see the nomencalture the same way, so assume you need something different than what you see. It's super frustrating, and we can't be the only ones frustrated with how they do this...

Hi @Johnny Bench , sorry for the confusion. The "Acrobat" that you see listed is what you're looking for. "Acrobat Pro" vs "Acrobat Standard" are the plan names which specify what features you have access to. The app in both cases is still Acrobat. Acrobat Reader is the free viewer app.

Thank you for the quick response.

My understanding now is that there is only two (2) levels for Adobe Acrobat: there is "Acrobat" available in paid plans and there is "Acrobat Reader" that is free.

"Pro" and "DC" and "Standard" relate to the level of the paid plan and really have nothing to do with the functionality of "Acrobat."

  Do I have that right?

  Thanks again for your response.

Pro and Standard are the plan levels. "DC" was used to indicate it is part of the "Document Cloud".
