I've just noticed Photoshop has disappeared from my installed apps, if I scroll down to all the apps it says 'install' for Photoshop. It is already installed and I still use it but according to Creative Cloud it is not installed?

Thanks Ged, I have signed out and then back in. It's made no difference. Imac is running Ventura 13.3.1 if that helps. Ian

click that install button.
if ps is currently installed, the installer will probably start, find that ps is already installed, and quickly update your cc desktop app to show it's installed.

Kglad, I clicked install and it installed PS as a fresh install on my Mac even though it was already there, it now appears as an installed app at least but opening PS all my presets and actions have gone so it's overwritten what was there I guess, a bit of a pain but hey ho..

installing even a new version doesn't automatically overwrite a previous version's preferences . you're given that option when installing new version, but it's not done unless selected.
anyway, do you have any idea about how the previous install was uninstalled (including its preferences)?

I didn't see any options for preferences, it was click on install and it straight away started uploading. I have no idea why my original PS was not showing on the app window. PS was working, I had been editing images and later that day I went into Creative Cloud and saw it wasn't there. Even though it was still installed on my Mac and working?!

in the future, if exactly the same symptoms recur, open photoshop > click help > check for updates

I have had the same issue since May 9. We have been traveling since late April, and I left my MacBook Pro at home powered off. When I turned it back on I had the same issue. I didn't want to do the reinstall for fear of overwriting settings. I tried the suggestions, but nothing has worked. Hopeing someone will have a better answer soon.

it happened to me as well, today.
The app completely disappeared from the computer (imac) and when I checked the application there is only a folder named Photoshop, and inside one single uninstall photoshop file.
It does not make sense at all.

no, it's been installed as regular photoshop for years, and I used to update it when it was necessary.
Yesterday I used it. Today it disappeared.

your cc app shows install, not open (for the version that was installed)?
your applications folder shows no ps executable?
have you already re-installed it?

the app just disappeared and there was only an empty folder with the executable to unistall even if there was nothing in that folder to uninstall.
Creative cloud showed that I could update it, but there was nothing to update.
Then I restarted, and re-installed.

after restarting your computer, instead of open , you saw install?

yes, on Creative Cloud. It was like it never was installed.
I could not open anything before re-installing, just missing.

Hey @Stockholm-17, sorry about the issue which are facing. To dig deeper and understand what's resulting this behavior on your machine, can you please share the logs using log collector tool. Here is the tool link: How to use the Creative Cloud Log Collector tool (adobe.com). You can either upload to any cloud service like google drive, dropbox etc. or share the generated log file name here and we will get it reterived from our backend.
Thanks in advance for all your help.
Also, Creatvie Cloud Desktop logs are retained for last 2-3 days and Installation logs should still be present on machine even if you have reinstalled the app.
