to remove:

mac:

copy any important file to another folder and then delete Creative Cloud Files + <account type> + <profile_name> + <email> + <GUID> (for example: Creative Cloud Files Personal Account email@abc.com ####@AdobeID).

default location, Mac HD/Users/<Username>/Creative Cloud Files

windows:

Open the registry editor (regedit.exe) & naviagate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace You'll probably have two sub-keys. OneDrive's sub-key will be nameed '{018D5C66-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6}' Delete the other one, that will be Creative Cloud.

I really only use LRC and that is still syncing.  Ido open CC before I use it.

I really admire your patience, but I do not have that icon.  The tree on the bottom is to show I am at bottom and that is my desktop

search for your renamed sync folder: Creative Cloud Files + <account type> + <profile_name> + <email> + <GUID> (for example: Creative Cloud Files Personal Account email@abc.com ####@AdobeID).

copy its important files elsewhere and then delete it.

I use Windows 10 Pro and in the past have only ever been able to hide this annoying folder(s) using regedit.exe by scrolling to
Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{0E270DAA-1BE6-48F2-AC49-xxxxxxxxxxxx}
then changing the setting "System.IsPinnedToNameSpaceTree" value from 1 to 0

It only ever returns when Adobe updates any of my apps, I’m personally not one bit interested in any online syncing or storage so hide it to avoid accidentally dragging and dropping, This issue was a hot topic back in 2015 when I first started using Adobe products and looks like nothing has changed in the last 9 years. I don’t know why Adobe can’t respect users choices and make a simple tick box to either enable or disable these folders, the only thing that has changed is the name of this folder from “Creative Cloud Files” to “Creative Cloud Files Personal Account (Your email address)”.
