1. current Creative Cloud

2. Windows 10 version 22H2

3.1  WIndows Startup - disable Adobe CC invoker Utility, Adobe Update Startup Utility, Creative Cloud, Creative Cloud Content Manager

3.2 Windows Settings, Privacy, Background Apps - set Notification Manager for Adobe Creative Cloud to off

3.3 Windows Settings, Privacy, Automatice File Downloads set to off

3.4 Creative Cloud (desktop) - set Sync to off, set Apps/Auto update to off, set Apps/Settings "launch Creative Cloud at login", "run Creative Cloud in the background after closing" to off

4.  Expected result is for no background processes from Adobe to be running at any time.

Actual result is that Adobe-labelled and Creative Cloud-labelled processes are found to be running after Lightoorm Classic or Photoshop are closed.  These processes are also found to be running while using Lightroom and Photoshop, but not at startup, only after a while (haven't timed it).

The result is that memory is being used up and causing Photoshop and Lightroom processing to grind to a halt until I force the background processes to quit (via Task Manager).  The PC has 32GB of RAM, 12 GB GPU RAM which are adequate until these background processes start up

.

To add insult to injury, after quitting Creative Cloud, Creative Cloud processes are still running in background, even though there are no other Adobe applications running - see attached screen shot.

Please note that I do not use and do not wish to use Creative Cloud for anything other than downloading updates to Lightroom Classic and Photoshop.  The processes do not help either Lightroom or Photoshop to "run more smoothly", as evidenced by the apps' performance after quitting the background processes.

Are there other actions can I take to fix this problem?  If so, what are they?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
