Adobe Portfolio and problem with www

Explorer ,
Aug 28, 2024 Aug 28, 2024

Hello, after changing the DNS and successfully connecting Adobe Portfolio to the domain, my website does not load when I enter an address with "www", namely https://www.rogner.cz.

The address https://rogner.cz works fine.

I set everything up in DNS according to the instructions.

Thank you for your help.

The non-www (naked domain) is the correct one to use with Portfolio.

HTTPS://EXAMPLE.COM/ or https://your_ID.myportfolio.com

will resolve to the same IP address.

Using a custom domain in Portfolio

https://help.myportfolio.com/hc/en-us/articles/209448927-Using-a-custom-domain-with-Adobe-Portfolio

Most sites have dropped the www prefix except in very rare use cases.

Hope that helps.

The problem is that if I enter only rogner.cz, www.rogner.cz automatically pops up and the website doesn't load...

@Mystical_inspiration1549

OK.  I'm seeing this for BOTH www & non-www domains.

Secure Connection Failed

Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG

I suspect the problem is with the SSL certificates issued from DigiCert or Let's Encrypt and not your DNS settings.

Please note that this was just my attempt. I'm not sure it was this way, but then everything started working. In the domain settings for the Let's Encrypt certificate in the web hosting administration of my provider, I removed the domain with and without "www", let it apply, and then added it there again and let it apply.
