Perhaps, in a Mac, can I move the creative cloud folder to an external hard drive an place a Symbolic Link in the default location?

Sorry but it didn't work. I hadn't logged back in. When I did the folder on my external drive had the various apps in it but I had to restore the folder on my hard drive.

You need to let the sync happen then go to preferences and assign a folder in the drop down menu under 'install location'

Then sign out and quit the CC app.

Move the folder from Macintosh HD>users>your-name to the location you specified then re-open the app and sign in.

This has just worked for me

Hi D2F1,

In the Creative Cloud preferences (from the Gear icon in the top right) in the Files section is an option to specify a different location for the Creative Cloud folder. You might try that.
