Hello, small issue: my Creative Cloud was unable to sync an indesign file while I had 2 different machines open (both using my CC account). To prevent my computer from telling me it could not sync the file over and over I saved a new version and deleted the file it could not sync. Now, my desktop claims it cannot sync the file because it is locked, when in reality this file was deleted and no longer exists. Any ideas how I can fix this? Appreciate any help, Cheers.
Just wanted to follow up on this. The solution turned out to be, opening inDesign on the machine that claims it cannot sync the file, and selecting "No" when asked if the software should try to recover the missing file. Once this was done Creative Cloud recognized the file did not exist. So, what had happened was inDesign was preserving the old file in it's backup/file restoration function.
Thanks for your time and help. Cheers!

Well, Adobe says to only have one machine in use at a time... now I see a tangible reason for that rule
I don't use ANY kind of cloud storage, so my only thought is to sign out of your account on both machines and then sign in on the one you want to use and see if that fixes the problem
File Sync Links that may help... all the links I have, since I don't know the cause of your specific problem

Ah, I was not aware they said not to use 2 machines at once, but I do see how it could be an issue. I was forced to do it for work because one machine suddenly would not export. I will try your suggestion of logging out. Thanks!
