Creative Cloud App discontinued in iOS (without official statement!)

New Here ,

Apparently the Creative Cloud App cannot be found in the App Store anymore, and there was not official warning or statement from Adobe.

The already installed version is still working, but if you have to re-install it, you won't be able to. I needed to re-install it because I experienced a few bugs, so I looked into the App Store to find out it's no longer available. Then, I looked up some posts here and on Reddit from users confirming the same.

Some things to wonder:

1) Why did Adobe discontinue the CC App for iOS?

2) Why didn't we, the paying users, get an official statement about this decision?

3) How do you install and use Adobe Fonts on your iPad if you can't use the Creative Cloud App on iOS? Isn't this going to be a big problem?

Well, the basic use is to organize your Folders and Files, since when you're in a specific app, you can only see the available files that can be opened by that app.

The other use would be to install Adobe Fonts. Unless I'm missing something (I haven't tried it yet), and you can do it some other way. But if not, that's a big deal, not being able to install Adobe Fonts on your iPad and using them within the apps on your iPad, for example (I use Illustrator a lot on my iPad).

Of course, you can organize folders and files and watch the tutorial lessons, check the new apps and all that on the Web version, even on a iPad, I guess. But installing Fonts?

fonts are added via the os. but if you find it useful moving files/folders, keep the app.

Do you mean through "Settings > General > Fonts > My Fonts"?

How does the iOS know that you have an Adobe Creative Cloud account and can install fonts from there?

I'm sorry, but I didn't look up into installing fonts in iOS before, so maybe I'm missing some basics.

I understand I need to download the font. But apparently, you need CC to install it. If Adobe doesn't provide CC on iOS, how do you install them on an iPad?

A clearer question would be: can you install an Adobe Font on an iPad without Creative Cloud on that iPad.

- If the answer is "yes", then what is the procedure?

- If the answer is "no", then Adobe made it impossible for their users to use Adobe Fonts on iOS when they decided to discontinue the Creative Cloud App in iOS.

Just a note: on the Adobe helpx page https://helpx.adobe.com/be_en/fonts/kb/add-fonts-desktop.html, you cannot select "Add fonts on CC Mobile", as you are re-directed to the "Add fonts on your computer" page. That could indicate that there is no way anymore to do that unless it's a bug on their website (c'mon, Adobe…).

i would google how to install ios fonts and see if there's something workable.

or install on a computer and sync a project with the desired font to see if that works.
