Hi Adobe Community,
I'm experiencing issues with integrating Google Analytics (GA4) with my Adobe Portfolio site. Here's a breakdown of the problem:
I connected my Measurement ID in Settings > Analytics > Your Google Analytics Tracking Code and applied the changes by pressing Done. However, after more than 48 hours, I'm still seeing the following error in my Google Analytics account:
"Data collection isn't active for your website. If you installed tags more than 48 hours ago, make sure that they are set up correctly."
I attempted to install the Google tag manually by copying the code provided by Google (under Admin > Data Streams > Web > View Tag Instructions) and pasting it into Settings > Custom Meta Tags. Unfortunately, I received an error message:
"There may be invalid meta tags. Please check and try again."
I also tried pasting the code into the Footer Text section, but this did not resolve the issue.
I attempted to edit the HTML source directly on the Adobe Portfolio page, but it appears that I'm unable to make any changes to the code.
I believe the Measurement ID is set up correctly, but data is still not flowing to my Analytics account. I'm at a loss for what to try next.
Has anyone successfully connected GA4 to Adobe Portfolio and encountered this issue? Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!

I'm having the same problem, and have reviewed this thread and the supporting documents and still can't get any data into google analytics.
I have created a google analytics account, and pasted the measurement ID into the adobe portfolio settings>analytics and applied the changes to the website, just as the OP posted. The solution matches the process OP originally followed, which does not solve my problem.
I've deleted the analytics property and created a new one and updated adobe portfolio and it still isn't working.

How long did you wait?
Analytics Data do not appear instantly. It often takes 28 days or more for Google to collect enough data from your site's traffic to give statistically meaningful results. New sites & sites with light traffic could take longer. Be patient.

its been three weeks, but I've just created another analytics property yesterday.
This would be helpful to add to the support docs if it isn't already, maybe I missed it.

You're barking at the wrong tree. Analytics is owned & operated by Google, not Adobe.
Consult Google Developers Docs for details about Analytics.

Cody2910750417cn , did you ever get an answer to this that worked? I have the same issue. Following (and checking and refollowing) Adobe's instructions and waiting the appropriate amount of time has not worked, and Portfolio's analytics coding is clearly customized to supposedly make it user friendly, so pointing generally to Google's developer documentation, although a helpful tip in itself, isn't really applicable in this case. I'm stumped too. Thanks!
