I'm creating CC Libraries for my comanies clients and to be honest I'm completely dumbfounded as tro wht .eps files are not supported. I've been in commercial markerting and advertising for 20 years and every agency I have ever worked using .eps files for logos and graphics for print work.
I really need to hear the justification for this omision.

If EPS is all you have and you don't wish to convert them all to .AI files, don't use Libraries.
Instead, create a shared folder in your Creative Cloud storage.

Below is a batch converter for EPS to AI. However I've never used it.

you can open an eps file (with eg, ai) and you can save as an eps file (with eg, ai).
the cc library is intended to hold assets you would import into a cc program (eg, ai).
if you want to share an eps file, add it to your sync folder:

Did you ever receive support for this issue? I'm dealing with the same issue and staring down the barrel of opening and re-saving hundreds of .eps icons (the industry standard) so that I can upload to a corporate library.... thanks!

Due to it's inherent limitations and lack of support for ICC color profiles, almost nobody uses EPS files anymore. I haven't used EPS in production work for more than a decade.

Appreciate the info, Nancy! Do you (or does anyone) happen to have any suggestions for how to switch .eps to a .ai without opening each one and doing a "Save As"? Unfortunately, I'm working with a library of pre-designed content and this is the format it's delivered in, however, I'd like to make it available to my team via the libraries for ease of use.

You can record an Action inside Illustrator to save EPS as AI, then run it as a batch.
1. Open any EPS file you wish to convert
2. Open Actions panel via the Windows menu
3. At bottom of the Actions panel, click the folder to create a new set and/or [+] to create a new Action. This will start recording everything you're doing so do this when you're ready.
4. Do a Save As to AI file (or whatever format you want to convert to (or whatever action you want to record). You can also record a close file.
5. When you're finished, click the stop icon at the bottom of the Actions panel.
6. Then to batch run this action to a group of files, click the 3 lines menu top right of the Actions panel, and then 'Batch' at the bottom of the list. You can select your source and output folders, and which action to run. If you get popups on opening files you can select option to override any (or the Action will pause).
You can also run an Action one by one to files by opening it and pressing the play button at bottom of panel, for one off or small batches, if you wish.
Hope that helps! This is on Mac, windows might be slightly different in terms of where things are.

"Nobody uses EPS files anymore"? Excuse me? Every logo i have ever dealt with is in EPS format. We don't want logos as AI files where someone can edit it.

I stopped using them more than a decade ago. Among other things, EPS are bulkier than PDF and lack ICC color profiles. I prefer AI or PDF for print and SVG for the web.
