How to add white edge to images on Adobe portfolio Thomas theme

Hi, everyone. Looking for help 😊

I used Thomas theme for my Adobe portfolio. I would like my images on the homepage to have white edge on tablet view. I tried different things - nothing works - they stay full bleed. I tried a different theme Ludwig and the same story. But I saw portfolio which was made using Ludwig theme and images have a white edge on tablet view.

Any ideas, please?
