Invite individuals to view but not edit a cloud document?

Using the share menu, I can either invite individuals to edit my cloud documents or create public view-only links to them.  What I want to do is invite individuals (not the public) to view (not edit) my cloud documents.  Is there a way to do this?

Only the people you invite will have access to the link.

Nobody else can access it.

Thank you, I understand that part, but I do not want people I invite to be able to edit the document.

Then post a flattened JPG or PDF that can't be edited.
