I spent months figuring out why I couldn't sync libraries. Because of this, fonts weren't syncing and applications weren't working properly. Always with multiple crashes.
I tried everything, reinstalled, used CMD+OPT+R.
I used the Creative Cloud Uninstaller, also used the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. Restarted, did a fresh System installation (Mac OS Sequoia) and it still didn't work.
With the log tool I saw it was a PERMISSION error. And for some reason, my user didn't have full permission in the Adobe directory.
Because of this, Core Sync wasn't working properly, affecting the entire structure.
How did I solve it?
- Reset your user permissions with the command: sudo diskutil resetUserPermissions / id -u
- Restart your mac
- Uninstall using the Creative Cloud Uninstaller
- Now use Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner and clean 1 by 1 (this will effectively reset what you have synced, so if you depend on something local, make a backup first)
- Download Creative Cloud again at: https://www.adobe.com/download/creative-cloud and reinstall
- Restart your mac
- Wait a few minutes and check if it's okay, you can do this by directly opening the Core Sync file through the path (use terminal): open "/Applications/Utilities/Adobe Sync/Core Sync/Core Sync.app"
- Still in the terminal, check if the process is running using the command: pgrep -fl "Core Sync". It should return something like: 12345 /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Sync/Core Sync/Core Sync.app/Contents/MacOS/Core Sync
- Open Creative Cloud, navigate to the "Files" menu and wait for it to load.
That should solve 🙂
