Muse was working, now says application manager is missing or damaged

I know Adobe doesn't support Muse any more, but I'm a paying customer and have several websites I've designed using it and I am NOT moving them all to XD. I've never had a problem with it, now I get this stupid pop up window saying Adobe Application Manager, required to start your trial, is missing or damaged. Why did this start just now? There IS no Adobe Application Manager now, it was replaced with the Adobe Creative Cloud app. I need this fixed ASAP.

a work-around is to shut-down adobe processes and then start muse, https://community.adobe.com/t5/creative-cloud-services-discussions/muse-not-running-after-creative-c...

 

another is:

I went to the app directory using the Windows Start menu via Settings. There I selected the Adobe Creative Cloud app, clicked on the app with the left mouse button, then selected “Uninstall”. After a short time a new dialog appeared in which I had the option to click on "Repair". I did this and immediately clicked on the Muse program icon right after clicking the “Repair button”.

Nope. I tried both and it still pops up the window. I closed all Adobe tasks, even the creative cloud ones. As soon as I hit repair, I started up Muse and still got the stupid window.

I read that thread from beginning to end, tried EVERY suggestion and nothing has worked. Adobe seems to not give a damn about their customers. They say it's a Muse problem and they don't support Muse, so end of discussion. The fact that Muse worked fine until December when they updated CC App doesn't seem to matter to them. I believe they did it on purpose to try and force people to use XD. Sorry, ain't happening. I'll find a competitor to go to.

I hope so. I wish they would allow us to just purchase a stand alone version of Muse. I'd pay a couple hundred bucks to get a disc with Muse that operates completely outside of Creative Cloud, like we used to be able to do.

the fix was made a while ago.  the cc desktop app no longer interferes with muse opening.

If it was fixed, I wouldn't be here. The program worked until CC was updated in December, so is it just coincindence? It worked. Now it doesn't. They themselves have said they're not updating or supporting Muse any more, so if they haven't touched Muse since 2018, then it would make sense that CC is the problem.

Did you find a solution? I still have muse working on anther computer, but I want to pass it to a new computer and I coudl not pass this error. Any advice?

I did that, but does not work, even when cloud is repairing.  I tried and sucessfully installed version 6.0.0.571 of the CC, and even then it is not working. After I installed older version of CC, I re-installed muse, and same problem is happenig: Adobe application manager, required to start... is missins or damaged. Can't pass this. Tryed several solutions available in the community.

In my other computer muse runs without CC, but in this case I can't start because of this error... anyone could pass this error?

or can i contact someone specifically in adobe costumer service?

@Kevin22504428wbe0 did youfind something that work with you? @kglad I know muse is not supported, but this is a problem with cc as @Kevin22504428wbe0 said before... This error happened in other apps of the CC and was correct, the only that was not corrected was in muse. why? is that so difficult... I still pay to be able to logon and use muse... if I can not use, I will not pay any longer.

not supported means exactly that.  if you want to hear confirmation from adobe support, there are 2 ways to contact adobe support; chat and twitter (now x):

chat:
if you have or want to purchase a subscription, use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.

Muse was never a product sold stand-alone and on disk. You could buy a single app Muse subscription, but that was integrated into Creative Cloud. Whatever your plans are, you really should change to a replacement product. You will hit the moment, where Muse will not work anymore. Those “small” issues you are experiencing are symptomatic of unsupported software.

Hi, any updates on this?

I was using Muse on my Windows 11 PC without any issues after successfully starting it following other tips on this forum, but I had to format my pc and reinstall Muse, and this message started popping up.

Although I've followed every suggestion for possible ways to fix it, but this time it just wasn't possible. I'm spending all my time trying to find a solution because I own many websites created on this excellent software, and not being able to open it has me stuck.

 

I'll be happy to hear any help please,

rename AdobeIPCBroker in win: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\IPC mac: ->>Applications->Utilities->Adobe Application Manager->IPC (right click > show package contents)
