I published my myportfolio.com website weeks ago. It's still not showing up in a google search. Under settings in myportfolio, I've set the meta terms and checked "allow search engines to index my site" and also "automatically submit site updates to search engines" . I've contacted myportfolio.com web based help (they have no phone number) weekly. The things they send me go around in circles, sometimes I doubt they've read a word of what I've sent them.
The google URL Inspection Tool says it's an "invalid domain"
How in the world do I get my website included in a google search?

Hi,
it seems as stated in the Error Message that the submitted URL is wrong. Try something like "https:// pattiargoff. myportfolio. com" without the "@" in the URL. That should work.

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the CC forum.

Thank you for your response. In the search field at the google verification site, they grey out a fake web address to show you how to fill out the field. I tried filling out the search fields as you suggested, but it's not showing up in a google search.

Yes, if you search for my portfolio by the web address it's a hit. A potental client won't search for me that way, they'd just enter my name. A search for my name doesn't lead to my website.

You should be able to find me by just my name alone, without adding the word "portfolio" to the search, and you can't.
I know there are hits for if you search by my name, but myportfolio website isn't one of them.

It takes a while for new sites to get noticed. This is normal & expected for the first year. See screenshot.

1. The correct URL protocol is secure https:// not http://
2. The actual domain is your_id.myportfolio.com without the @ or WWW prefix.
Make a note of your site's actual URL: https://pattiargoff.myportfolio.com
3. Ask Google to crawl your website's index.html page. See details below.
https://developers.google.com/search/docs/crawling-indexing/ask-google-to-recrawl
NOTE: There is no guarantee Google Search will give ranking to your site right away.
New sites must typically buy keyword ads for the first 6-12 months of operation until their site develops some organic traction of its own. See Google Ads Getting Started.
Also read Google's SEO Starter Guide for ways to improve your site's presence on web searches.

Hope that helps.
