Hello, my solution to this problem is simple like adding any letter to this file (AdobeIPCBroker) example AdobeIPCBrokerSSSS
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\IPC
copy and paste in your explorer or just follow the route
please help me in my project by following my instagram page thank you guys @smoothdesigns
Thank you so much @santiago p for finding this!
So much easier than the other workarounds we've been using.
As far as I can see, CC Desktop still works fine with that file disabled.
Cheers, Dave.

Could be a windows 11 issue, or you may have installed Muse to a different folder.
Do a search for adobeipcbroker and rename it adobeipcbrokerMA
Muse should now load

for this fix, i'm suspecting win 11 is the issue

I suspect it's a Windows 11 update. Adobe Muse was working fine on another PC 3 months ago.
I didn't install Muse anywhere else and this whole article is about adobeipcbrokerMA changing the extension name, why wouldn't I follow the forum directions?

Don't change the extension, change the file name, also if you do a full system search you may find the file somewhere else.

It's more likely to be a CC update. But you could try rolling the windows update back and see if that makes a difference

test by comparing cc versions

Personally I don't think it's CC. I'm running the latest, and downloaded Muse yesterday. Applied the "fix" and it worked. Windows 10 latest updates.
Windows 11 does weird stuff ... perhaps use compatibility mode?

what are your cc desktop versions. (saying you have the latest version doesn't tell us which version number you have because updates are rolled out to users in waves so two latest versions can be different versions.)

Yep, even with the AdobEIPCBroker.app filename changed, I still get the same error.
This fix did work for me for quite awhile, but in the past few weeks to a month stopped working and now I'm getting the "no applied style cache" error. Has anyone else encountered this?

Update 02/27/2025
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\IPCBox
change the name of the AdobeIPCBroker.exe
Then find the running process in the task manager under processes and end task
In Win 11 just search IPC in the box at the top of task manager.
Muse now opens and stays open!

Is there a comparable way to do this on Mac? I've changed the name of AdobeIPCBroker, but I get an error saying "No applied style cache" when I open Muse. Watching my Activity Monitor app when I open Muse, I don't see anything like IPC showing up.

And to follow up, I changed the AdobeIPCBroker file name back, and when I did that it ran into the old problem where Muse immediately quits. Changing the name of AdobeIPCBroker brings up the "No applied style cache" error and the program quits. So something with this AdobeIPCBroker app is causing the problem. What is it?

Its dead Jim.... The workarounds to launch Muse (Windwos 11) are not working anymore (ate of Mid March) The CC REPAIR methood does not work, and the Ctrl+Alt+Del and ending all CC instances does not work. I can not access Muse. I even uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail.
It boots up and then closes... so sad. Now I have to learn how to build a site all over again, likely on Wordpress.

Hope mine is still working I'm mid way thorugh some updates on an old site!.
When they first killed muse I bought Nicepage, its a pretty decent replacement for Muse, better output and pretty much zero learning curve if youve ever used Wix etc, but its a lifetime license. definitely worth checking out.
also forgot to mention you can export as wordpress if you like! so you get wordpress for clients without actually having to learn anythign tricky!

I've just today had my Creative Cloud Desktop app update to version 6.6.0.611.
I always worry that an update will cause issues with Muse, but my copy of Muse is still opening and working fine.
This is on Windows 10 22H2, the last version.
Why it would be different on Windows 11 I don't know, I wish I could help, but just to let you know that it can still work, at least on Windows 10.

I'm afraid I don't know what to suggest.
You're obviously now using the latest version of Creative Cloud Desktop.
Are you using the latest (last) version of Muse?
I have heard of some people having problems with older versions.

Hello, I have a new PC, where I installed the Creative Cloud and MUse and the problem is back but this fix does not work. Any other ideas? The error is : "Adobe Application Manager, required to start your trial, is missing or damaged. " By the way I have a full subcription with Adobe, not sure why it says I am running a trial

When are you seeing this error message, when you run the CC Desktop app, or when you run Muse?
If the latter, is the CC Desktop app running normally?
Can you log into Adobe successfully with it?

It happens when running Muse, CC desktop runs normally. I can log into Adobe wih no problem, in fact it logs me in autmatically. I used to have it in my old PC and one of the fix around worked well last year but this time nothing is working.
