Thank you so much @santiago p for finding this!

So much easier than the other workarounds we've been using.

As far as I can see, CC Desktop still works fine with that file disabled.

Cheers, Dave.

Could be a windows 11 issue, or you may have installed Muse to a different folder.

Do a search for adobeipcbroker and rename it adobeipcbrokerMA

Muse should now load

I suspect it's a Windows 11 update. Adobe Muse was working fine on another PC 3 months ago.

I didn't install Muse anywhere else and this whole article is about adobeipcbrokerMA changing the extension name, why wouldn't I follow the forum directions?

Don't change the extension, change the file name, also if you do a full system search you may find the file somewhere else.

It's more likely to be a CC update. But you could try rolling the windows update back and see if that makes a difference

Personally I don't think it's CC. I'm running the latest, and downloaded Muse yesterday. Applied the "fix" and it worked. Windows 10 latest updates.

Windows 11 does weird stuff ... perhaps use compatibility mode?

@jamesb76273406 @miguel_ángel_0120

what are your cc desktop versions.  (saying you have the latest version doesn't tell us which version number you have because updates are rolled out to users in waves so two latest versions can be different versions.)

Yep, even with the AdobEIPCBroker.app filename changed, I still get the same error.

This fix did work for me for quite awhile, but in the past few weeks to a month stopped working and now I'm getting the "no applied style cache" error. Has anyone else encountered this?

Update 02/27/2025
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\IPCBox
change the name of the AdobeIPCBroker.exe
Then find the running process in the task manager under processes and end task
In Win 11 just search IPC in the box at the top of task manager.

Muse now opens and stays open!

Is there a comparable way to do this on Mac? I've changed the name of AdobeIPCBroker, but I get an error saying "No applied style cache" when I open Muse. Watching my Activity Monitor app when I open Muse, I don't see anything like IPC showing up.

And to follow up, I changed the AdobeIPCBroker file name back, and when I did that it ran into the old problem where Muse immediately quits. Changing the name of AdobeIPCBroker brings up the "No applied style cache" error and the program quits. So something with this AdobeIPCBroker app is causing the problem. What is it?
