I've just purchased and downloaded Creative Cloud for my iMac and MacBook Pro. The syncing folder loaded fine on my MacBook but I keep getting the above error msg on the iMac, with the 3 options 1) turn off file sync 2) retry 3) restore. I've found old comments about this but nothing seems relevant to 2016/2017.
