Updates kill my computer

Every month or so, Creative Cloud updates completely bog down my computer and the internet bandwidth. I can't get any work done. I can't postpone the updayes or downloads until a more convenient time. This is terrible.

disable auto-updates (file>preferences>apps)

 

 

p.s. you can also disable auto-update of the cc app itself (file>preferences>general), but that shouldn't take much bandwidth

The File >> Preferences >> General >> Always keep Adobe Creativev Cloud up to date option is already turned off. I had turned this off last time in hopes of avoiding this issue.

the bigger bandwidth consumer are the app updates and the cc setting doesn't affect that setting.
