ADE is TRASH. Anyone else having issues with library books & Kobo?

I can't download library books on to my Kobo reader. The first time I download ADE it works; the second time, I am always told that my ereader is not authorized. If I de-authorize and re-authorize my e-reader, I have to delete every single book I've already borrowed and re-load it, at which point I may still not have access to them.

On top of authorization problems, ADE is constantly crashing.

Anyone have solutions to these problems? I'm so fed up.
