ADE not responding

whenever I click on my Kobo reader under devices my ADE quits responding and then closes.   Also recently when I download a book from the library I get the message that it is downloading but the book does not show up in my ADE window.   I have tried uninstalling, restarting then installing ADE again but nothing has changed.   And yes I have upgraded to Windows 10

    Open Digital Edition under the new user, download a eBook and try to move to your Reader.
