Adobe Digital Editions: Activation Server error-code E_AUTH_NOT_READY

After installing Adobe Digital Editions I tried to authorize my machine. When doing so I received the error message:

Activation Server error-code E_AUTH_NOT_READY

Any idea what I might try next? _Martin
