Adobe Digital Editions and Kobo

Adobe Digital Editions will not authorize my Kobo. It tells me I do not have an Adobe ID. I do but when I enter it and press continue it tells me there was a server error and I should try again. Try again never works.I get the same error message. Should I remove and reload this program??
