Adobe Digital Editions for Ipad - lost all my highlights and bookmarks

I lost all of my highlights around page 90 in a book I was reading in Adobe Digital Editions on my IPad. It is a textbook for university, so if I can’t recover my highlights I have to start over.

Can this be resolved?
