Adobe Digital Editions still trying to authorise computer after two hours

No, I cannot read the book on the computer because it requires Adobe Digital Editions. I think I have to just give up. Thanks for all your replies.

That's when the endless authorisation starts. If that authorisation is manually interrupted, the program will crash on start-up. If the factory settings are reset, the program won't crash, but neither will the authorisation work. The program has been re-installed several times.

That combination conjures up the authorisation window. I then have the option to select an 'eBook supplier', which has Adobe ID as default, and then two fields to fill: Adobe-id and password. I can also skip those fields and tick the box 'Authorise computer without id'. Whatever I do, in both cases the authorisation does not work and after a few minutes or hours I have to cancel the procedure again.

I cannot get through the authorisation screen, regardless of whether I start the program as an admin or in the normal way, regardless of whether I select the Adobe login or only the local authorisation without login. I can reset to the factory settings after the program crashes, but I cannot get beyond the login.

Do used with operating system? Get you a error message?
