Adobe Digitial Editions is not opening . What to do ?

Hello Everyone ,

My Adobe Digital Editions App in not opening . When I click on the icon , the screen goes black and nothing happens . I had downloaded a book from Open Library.com and now I want to read it but I am not able to . Does this happen this to anyone else ? How can I solve it ? I even tried to reinstall it twice but nothing happened.
