Adobe ID issue

I wanted to borrow a book form my local library. I got ADE (Adobe Digital Editions)  and logged into my Adobe ID and it accepted it and said that I can now download and switch what device it is on (I own a Kobo Aura) but when I tried to drag it to my kobo onscreen this message popped up:

Errors Were Detected

The following items could not be copied to your device.

Number the Stars.epub CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED - No permission to copy the book.

But earlier it said I could and I was still singed in. What happened? I want to be able to use this Kobo with library book but at the moment there is a problem.

Please help
