after installation edition 3.0 I cannot read the trial books and more important: not even the helpguide.

Newly installed 3.0. Adobe Digital Editions. I have some books in the library but I cannot read them. Not even the helpguide opens to the next page, I only see the first page. "Help" says that the machine is authorized. Do I miss and/or forget to do something before being able to read? Thx for our help.
