Application Error with Adobe Digital Editions 4.5

Hello. I get an error message when I try to open Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 on my desktop. It states, "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000135). Click OK to close the application. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 with no change. Can anyone help with this? Thank you.
