Yes, I used the same ID on my new computer and the downloaded ADE authorized the books that Ihad  purchased from Amazon with no problem. The problem is that ADE refused to authorized only the books I purchased from the now closed Books-on-Board because that vendor is no longer on the approved list. I paid for these books and moved these e-books from my old computer, which was authorized to open them, to the new computer. How can I get ADE to authorize on my new computer those books purchased from the vendor that is no longer in business? HELP!

As stated in Response #2, These books were authorized at time of purchase on my old computer with my Adobe ID.

(Books Purchase date: May 26, 2012 08:34pm, BoB Order #: 0000706809). I was able to read them on my old computer. I just purchased a replacement computer, downloaded ADE, and transferred my e-books. I authorized all e-books EXCEPT those purchased from Books-on-board using the same Adobe ID. Adobe'd authorization process will not process the Books-on-Board purchases because the vendor is NOT a choice on the current list. How can I open these books on my new computer?

If the eBooks not linked with your Adobe ID you can only ask the reseller how can you open the eBooks. In this cause the forum of Digital Edition could not help. Not you, not i and not adobe has access to the eBooks itself.
