Been downloading library books to my Kobe e-reader for ages. Now keep getting "not connected to the internet" when I am. What can I do?

Keep getting "Cannot connect to the fulfilment server" - "connect to the internet " - but I am connected. What can I do? No jargon please!!! Keep it simple!!
