can't download purchased eBook, get "Error! Check Activation" but have valid Adobe ID and computer id authorized. Need solution

I am unable to download an eBook that I purchased. The following error message appears when selecting the download url. "Error! Check Activation". Adobe Digital Editions indicates that the computer is authorized.
