Cannot download a book

When I try to download a book onto Kobo via USB through Digital Editions it comes up with: CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED

How can I rectify this please?

I have also tried to authorize my digital editions programme with my adobe ID and password but it says it is wrong?!?! but i managed to get onto web page with the same id and password.
