DE 3.0 automaticaly updates - where to stop this?

While trying every method mentioned to get ADE4.5 to work, it hangs.  3.0 works perfectly for me, but lately it (without asking) updates to 4.5.6 which will not work for me.  How/where do I keep 3.0 from automatically updating?  As it stands, I have to uninstall 4.5, and reinstall 3.0 about twice a week.  I keep the 3.0 installer in a file on my desktop, since I use it so often.  I use Windows 10.  I thought I'd looked at every conceivable place for a box to check/uncheck, but I can't find the place.  Any help would be apprecitated
