Digital editions on Linux and/or Nook - how do I start?

I'd like to install Digital Editions on my computer (Suse Linux) so that I can read an e-book I bought for a course. I have Calibre for transfering to the Nook, but I'm at a loss how to even get started installing the Dig.Ed.program.

Any idea? Adobe only seems to support the 'big systems' - do I really have to activate some ol' windows computer? Or could I even install on the nook?

The foolproof way to install Digital Editions to Linux is via Winetricks. Which might be available in the Suse Software Centre. If not trying asking for guidance at the Suse forum.

After installing Winetricks you launch the application by opening a terminal and entering $ winetricks

Then:

1. Select and OK the "Install an app" option.

2. Select and OK the "Adobe Digital Editions" option.
