E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED

I cannot get the above error to solve itself. I tried talking to adobe chat and they were useless. I know that the date and time needs to be correct, which it is but the error still persists. I downloaded an e-book from the local library, the time zones shouldn't be an issue.

It says that "Digital Editions encountered an error on the activation server." What does this mean?
