Question

E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR

With Adobe Digital Editions, I get "E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR" when trying to access PDF files, but not with EPUB files. Any ideas on what is happening and how to fix this?

I've seen this question asked several times, but no answers appear on the forum.

Thanks!

    Hi,

I just installed adobe digital editions.
    I authorized my computer successfully.

I can not download any ACSM e-books, not even the sample e-book from the adobe site:

    https://www.adobe.com/hu/solutions/ebook/digital-editions/sample-ebook-library.html

    I always get the E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR

I can download epub e-books, but not ACSM.

    Any solution?

After I had installed Adobe Digital Editions, the first thing I got was the "Error! Check activation" problem + the problem to de-authorize my computer. After repairing manually the registry, I am now getting one step further (or less far, I don't know): When trying to download one of Adobe's example books on "eBook Beispiel-Bibliothek | Adobe Digital Editions" which is not directly stored as ePUB but where the first thing would be to download a URLLink, I am getting this "E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR". So, I guess, I can't download any file with DRM, but I can not check. Something does not work correctly, anyway.

There is one cryptic answer in this forum about putting operator.p12 in place, the answer is marked as right one, but it doesn't help, because I don't know, what to do.

All other questions in this direction are unanswered.

I am using Windows 7 on a PC and Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.3.
