Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: W_ADEPT_CORE_EXPIRED

I updated digital editions from 2.0 to 4.5.10. Now I cannot open a book I purchased. (ACSM file). I get the following error message: Error getting License. License server communication problem: W_ADEPT_CORE_EXPIRED. How can I get my book back? BTW using Mac OS X 10.14

    Thanks for the email closing the case but the issue is not resolved. The page you sent me to: Error messages and troubleshooting tips for activation errors in Adobe Digital Editions does not contain the error code I am getting:

    Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:

    W_ADEPT_CORE_EXPIRED

    Please explain this error code and how to resolve it.
