Error opening ADE 4.0.3 in Win XP and Win 7

Recently I installed ADE 4.0.3 in my desktop. This had Win 7 as OS. When I try to open ADE it gives an error "Adobe Digital Editions has encountered an error and needs to close". Same problem in Win XP.
