Error "E_ACT_NOT-READY" on my newly purchased Mac, but I'cant deactivate my Adobe ID. Always: Try again an other time.

On my newly purchased Mac I can't download E-Books. Always: Error "E_ACT_NOT_READY" . But when I try to deactivate my Adobe ID (under "Help", it isn't possible. It's always the answer: Try again later. ?????

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with Adobe Digital Editions. Have you followed all the troubleshooting steps under E_AUTH_NOT_READY in this document: Activation errors‌? Since you are unable to deactivate via the Help menu, you may try bypassing the activation error by navigating to Users/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and dragging the activation.dat file to the trash (Step 5 in the linked document). Restart ADE and attempt to reauthorize.
