How do I play audio files in ADE?

Hi,

I recently bought a Pearson language learning book but I have problems playing the audio files in the e-book (PDF) on my MacBook Pro (macOS Mojave). Do I need a certain kind of media player? Or is there anything else I can do in order to play audio files?
